Do I have to purchase a copy of RDV for every user who wants to view my work?
No. Once you've made your RDV scene anyone can view it at no extra charge. In the web enabled environment the RDV viewing component will be downloaded free of charge to whoever wants to view your scene.
When I go to view an RDV scene my web browser gives me a warning about active content - what should I do?
RDV is based on ActiveX control technology which requires installation on the viewing computer. You will need initially to accept the installation to be able to view the scenes.
Can RDV create AVI movies so I can send the results of my work to other people?
You could use RDV to render out each picture frame by frame but it would be a much better idea to just send them directly the RDV scene and the offline viewer install. This will typically take a fraction of the file size and bandwidth needed to send the animation in an AVI format, not to mention the huge time savings for frame by frame rendering.
Do I need experience using VIZ, 3DStudio Rhino, Maya or other visualization packages to use RDV
No. All you need to get started with RDV is basic proficiency with Autocad. Moreover advanced Autocad users will find it easy and intuitive to harness the power of RDV because it works just like they'd expect it to right inside their Autocad environment.
